Indigenous, Black, Communities of Colour Grant

BIPOC

The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia is located on the unceded ancestral lands of the Mi’kmaq people on the shores of Dartmouth. Currently rates of mental illness, addiction, and suicide among indigenous people are three times higher than settler communities in Canada. We acknowledge this in relation to historical and systemic racism and marginalization of these groups in Canada.

The Pringle Wilson Indigenous, Black, Communities of Colour Grant provides funding to support mental health initiatives by groups and individuals of these communities to create and foster awareness for mental health supports within this population and is awarded annually through our Community Grants Program.
