Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace

Time: 6 hours (1 day)

Mental Health and Wellness in the Workplace (MHWW) is a one-day peer support-based course designed to address and promote mental health wellness and reduce stigma in the workplace. Individuals will gain skills, comfort, and knowledge to better identify and guide a colleague towards a resilient outcome. MHWW addresses workplace factors that can affect one’s mental health, features lots of “starting a conversation” practice with a focus on peer to peer interactions

After completing the course, participants will have greater knowledge of mental health and wellness, stigma awareness, and the psychological and social risk factors that may create barriers within the work environment. Participants will gain an understanding of stress and burnout and the effects of trauma and suicidality. They will also have effective tools and approaches to reduce stigma, and help support and improve employee resilience.

MHWW prompts people to think more about mental health in colleagues (friends and family too.)
