Mental Health Awareness Month

Each year more than 250,000 Nova Scotians face the reality of living with a mental illness or addiction. During May, the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia joins the national movement to raise awareness about mental health. Each year we work to eradicate stigma, provide hope, and raise funds to increase financial support to community initiatives that support Nova Scotians living with mental disorders and their loved ones. You can help by holding your own fundraiser, attending an event or simply talking openly about mental health.
