Mental Illness Awareness Week October 3-9, 2021

Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) is an annual national public education campaign designed to help open the eyes of Canadians to the reality of mental illness. We’ll be joining our friends from the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH) in working towards a future where all who need mental health resources can access them without barriers.

For #MIAW2021 we’ll be recognizing Nova Scotians who’ve inspired others while living with mental illness and addiction or supporting those within the mental health community. Join us virtually on Friday, October 8th at 12:00 p.m. for Let’s Keep Talking with Allison Garber presented by Bell Let’s Talk as we for a conversation surrounding mental health and alcohol. We’ll also honour this year’s recipients of our Let’s Keep Talking Awards during the event.

Together, we can change the way people think about mental illness and addiction.
