Black History Month 2022

Celebrating the achievements of African Nova Scotians and Immigrants living in Nova Scotia.

Black History Month celebrates the rich contributions that African Nova Scotians and Black Immigrants from the Caribbean and Africa have made in our society despite their ongoing struggle for equity and social justice. It is a time to recognize the strength and resiliency of Black people in Canada, while we reflect on how we can combat discrimination in our communities.

For Black History Month 2022, the Nova Scotia Brotherhood will be acknowledging individuals who have positively impacted Nova Scotia. Their passion and positive contributions will be highlighted during our Zoom Community platform. Celebrations are free for the public and will take place every Thursday in February at 7:00 p.m. Join us to celebrate Sharon Davis-Murdoch on February 3 at 7:00 p.m.
