GRANTS
Since 2006, the Foundation has provided more than $3 million in funding through our Community Grants and Nova Scotia Health Authority Mental Health & Addictions, Central Zone (NSMHA) Grants to programs and community organizations with a mental health mandate.
Programs and services include mental health staff training, healthy living initiatives, community integration supports, housing projects, anti-stigma education, and anti-bullying programs. Last year's grants impacted an estimated 39,000 individuals directly through programs and services, and nearly 200,000 indirectly.
We are also pleased to now offer additional ‘Named Grants’ that address specific needs in the province. Named grants are Community Grants generously funded by our partners, and include the Compass Group Canada Community Grant, the Pictou County Community Grant and the JSMT Grant.
