JSMT Community Grant

The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia is proud to offer the 2017-2018 JSMT Community Grant.

Community volunteers Chris Sperdakes and Andrew Bartlett are working to change the way people think about mental illness in memory of Chris’ father, John Sperdakes. With a strong network of family and friends, Chris and Andrew organized a JSMT Invitational Golf Tournament, a JSMT Shamrock Dance and a JSMT Finbar’s Night. $5,000 of the funds raised are being directed to this new grant aimed at making a difference in their home communities of Lower, Middle and Upper Sackville.

Thank you to our friends at JSMT!

This funding is open to individuals, agencies and organizations with a mental health mandate and those who work directly with mental health consumers in the Sackville area.

This grant follows the same annual application process and general criteria as our Community Grants.

*Please note: Applications based out of Sackville can also qualify for regular Community Grants funding. This grant is in place to make additional funding available.
