Inspiring Lives Awards

The Inspiring Lives Awards took place every year from 2005 to 2014.

While this event has been discontinued, the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia continues to celebrate and honour Nova Scotians making a difference in mental health through our Let's Keep Talking event. For event information, or to nominate an outstanding Nova Scotian, please visit our Let's Keep Talking page!

HISTORY

Presented by the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Mental Health Association, Nova Scotia Division, the annual Inspiring Lives Awards luncheon recognized the achievements of Nova Scotians who have encouraged others while facing  their own struggles with mental illness and/or addiction.

In 2014, for the 10th anniversary event, we celebrated 5 incredible Nova Scotians: Medric Cousineau, Sara Goguen, Parker Jackson, Marc Serieys, and Jeannie Swinemar. Learn more about their stories in this video:
