Generosity of spirit was overwelming as individual and corporate donors stepped up the Compass Group Canada Festival of Trees black-tie gala on Saturday, November 26th and helped the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia launch the Pathways to Hope Legacy Fund.
Established in honour of all the community leaders who have volunteered their time and talent over the years to lead the Foundation in its mission to create a network of support for those living with mental illness, Pathways to Hope will address to signficant challenges currently facing the mental healthcare system -- the need to increase the degree of collaboration between patients, families, doctors and healthcare providers through education and training and financial support for housing to allow individuals ready to return home the ability to do so.
Over $200,000 was raised on Saturday night adding to the over $400,000 already committed by a number of leadership donors. To learn more about Pathways to Hope, click here.
