About the Artist: Twila Robar-DeCoste
Twila Robar-DeCoste, of Aylesford, Nova Scotia is a self-taught artist and illustrator who holds BSc., MSc., and BEd. degrees from Acadia University. Inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature, Twila works in watercolour, acrylic pen and ink to create realistic paintings of birds, wildlife, landscapes and seascapes. Her work was selected for the 2004 and 2005 Canadian Lung Association Easter Seal campaigns and she was also one of the participating artists in “Lobsters in the City” in 2005. She was awarded the Democracy 250 medal for community service in November 2008.
