An Evening with The Duchess of York
Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Foundation President & CEO Mary Lou Crowley,
The Duchess of York and Foundation Chair
Robert Hunt at the VIP Reception.

When Sarah, Duchess of York, formerly Miss Sarah Ferguson spoke at the Halifax Metro Centre on Tuesday, September 16th, a portion of the proceeds – $7,000 – from the event was contributed to support the one in five Nova Scotians who are living with a mental illness.

The Duchess was pleased that part of the proceeds from the event were directed to a cause in which she believes.

The event was hosted by CTV's Steve Murphy and offered profound insights and fascinating discussion on a broad scope of issues. The Duchess's speech, My Road to an Authentic Life, was followed by an armchair interview with Mr. Murphy.

The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia is truly grateful to the many people who attended this event in support of mental health.

Thank you!
