Capital District Mental Health Program Grants

Each year, the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia accepts requests from the staff of the Capital District Mental Health Program (CDMHP) to fund projects that typically would not receive funding from capital or operating budgets.

To apply for funding, Programs/Services must submit a formal application to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.

The application process for 2010/11 in now closed. (Annual Submission Deadline: Late January/Early February) To learn more about the Capital District Mental Health Program Grants and its 2010/11 recipients, please view the links below:

Once the application forms are received, a committee will review and rank all submissions. This group will consider a number of factors in assessing each submission, including:

  • Support of The MFHNS and the CDMHP mission, vision, values and strategic directions
  • Client/Consumer input
  • Innovation
  • Sustainability, if appropriate
  • Recent MHFNS grants received
  • Consumer impact
  • The possibility of alternatives to the MHFNS funding
  • Partnerships established

A final list of approved and ranked requests will be forwarded to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia’s Board of Directors for their consideration.
