The “Stars” are getting aligned.....
The excitement is in the air as preparations are underway for the Foundations 7th Annual A Different Stage of Mind – The Variety Show.
This wonderful event features Nova Scotia business leaders as you’ve never seen or heard them before. They’ll be trading in their business suits and Blackberry’s for costumes, make-up and microphones! The pressure is building as the Stars and their agents are on the phones and in the community soliciting votes that will help them compete for the prestigious Primetime Star Award.
Our “Stars” for the February 12th show at the World Trade and Convention Centre are:
· Dennis Campbell of Ambassatours Gray Line. He’ll transform into comedic fisherman Angus Sou’wester.
· Dr. Howard Conter and his son Adam will perform as the Blues Brothers.
· Mike Hachey of Egg Films and Shawn King of Extreme Group as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
· Shannon MacDonald of Deloitte as Swedish super-group ABBA.
· Tom Ruth of the Halifax International Airport Authority as Roy Orbison.
A special thanks go out to BMO Bank of Montreal, our Presenting Sponsor. BMO’s Michael Bonner is the Chair for this year’s event and for anyone who attended last year’s show, you may remember him as Garth Brooks.
Open Minds Capital Campaign soon to be launched!!
Plans are ongoing as the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia will soon be launching the Opening Minds Capital Campaign; first ever campaign in support of mental health in Nova Scotia. We are looking to take the launch on the road to Cape Breton Island!
I look forward to sharing more exciting details with you in the coming weeks.
