Thank you to all who participated in the successful 13th Annual Golf Classic Fore Mental Health on August 9! Despite a couple of sunburns and a few lost balls, the day was absolutely spectacular. From the energy and dedication of our incredible volunteers to the great spirit of 140 golfers, this year’s tournament will be remembered as one of the best ever!
A special thank you to our fantastic tournament chair, Nick Peters. Nick’s leadership and commitment to the tournament and raising funds and awareness for mental health is amazing. Nick and his hard-working committee helped raise an outstanding $46,000 for the 1 in 5 Nova Scotians living with a mental illness.
The overwhelming support from our local business community continues to amaze me and this year’s tournament was no exception. Forest Hill Drug Mart returned for their fifth year as presenting sponsor of the tournament, along with Nova Scotia Power Inc., CAN-med Healthcare, FX 101.9, The Chronicle Herald, RBC Financial Group, O’Regan’s Automotive Group, Pepsi Beverages Company, and many more.
Of course it wouldn’t be a true golf tournament without a little friendly competition. Congratulations to our winning teams!
